———– About the Group Courses ———–
The group courses require a minimum of 4 participants to go ahead. Participants will have one 60min group lesson online per week but they are also expected to do a significant amount of self-study between lessons (approx. 2-4 hours).
In Icelandic 1, the aim is equip the learner with basic, everyday language to be able to communicate in various practical situations such as when getting to know new people, talking about your week, expressing your likes and dislikes and ordering food. All four language skills – listening, speaking, reading and writing – will be practiced. The basics of Icelandic grammar will be introduced and pronunciation tips will be highlighted throughout to ensure good foundations for developing listening and speaking skills. The exact contents covered during each course may vary slightly from group to group depending on the participants’ needs and progress. If you have any further questions about the course or if you would like to sign up, please do get in touch.
