  • Each lesson is 60 minutes long. The fee includes my planning, homework assignments and marking.
  • The fee for bundles of 10 and 20 lessons is paid up front. It is possible to divide the 20 week bundle into two instalments (The first instalment at 580 GBP and the remainder in the second instalment)
  • 45 minute lessons are also available. The fee is calculated on a pro-rata basis.
  • More intensive courses or specially tailored courses are available. Please request a quote.

Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice are still charged. Given more notice, however, I am more than happy to reschedule lessons free of charge.  All lessons must also be taken within 12 months of purchase.

Lesson format

Depending on my clients’ goals, the lessons generally take a communicative approach; we focus on speaking and listening in class – as well as mastering the grammar, bit by bit. For homework I set a wide variety of tasks – vocabulary learning, transcription practice, writing tasks, grammar practice and more.

Materials

I provide almost all the learning materials I use in my lessons (PDFs, Word docs, audio recordings, online material) so you do not need to buy a course book, although you may wish to consider some of the useful materials listed under resources.

Equipment

You will need a webcam, microphone and speakers (a headset is recommended), as well as one of the following programs: Skype, Teams or Zoom.  Access to a printer is very useful although most of the materials are suitable for online use. Good old fashioned pen & paper are also essential for note taking.

You simply tell me what days and times you would ideally like to have lessons and I try my best to accommodate that.
